January 11th - Women's Division Recap
We were thrilled to hold our second straight event with a full Women's division, after December's draw brought the most competitive play of the event, and this time was no different! Lexington was well represented in this weekend's Women's draw, along with a team from Louisville and two members of the Asbury University Club Pickleball team!

As we ended pool play, the standings couldn't of been any tighter, as both the #1/#2 seeds and #3/#4 seeds had tied records and seeding was decided by the head-to-head victor in pool play. Kelly and Laura (4-1) took the #1 seed over Tao and Heather (4-1) after their pool play win (11-1), while the head-to-head winner also placed Maddie and Mary Kate in the #3 seed (3-2) and Sara & Victoria in the #4 seed (3-2), after Maddie/MK won the pool play match up, 11-7.
This matched up Kelly/Laura vs Sara/Victoria and Maddie/MK vs Tao/Heather in the semifinals. Both semifinal winners were able to get revenge from earlier losses in pool play, as Kelly/Laura took the #1 vs #4 seed semifinal game, 15-10 and Maddie/MK won the #2 vs #3 seed match, 15-12. In the finals, Kelly and Laura proved to be too much, as they won our Women's division final in two games, 11-3, 11-8.
We appreciate all the ladies who participated and those who came out to watch these women compete.
